"A low-cholesterol cookbook for gourmets," Carol Cutler's 1973 book Haute Cuisine for Your Heart's Delight, is like a time machine for me. My grandparents were OBSESSED with low-cholesterol cooking and tried just about every recipe there was. This book is from my Mimi’s collection.
This first edition is in very good condition. The binding is tight, the pages intact with no writing (unusual!) The pages have some foxing and staining consistent with age and the fact that this book was stored on a kitchen counter for at least a decade. The jewel-tone green cloth-covered outer boards are in good condition. They are clean and vivid green. There is an embossed spoon on the front and the silver-gilt letters on the spine are bright and readable. The dust jacket is in fair condition with the biggest issue being staining along the front bottom and the top edge.
